Ok I wont lie, but I have been out of Picture of Home Theater for while now

kinda lost
Well I went to the local Magnolia HiFi here in seattle they have nice stuff.
did a listen test on some Martin Logans Loved them that is for sure what i know i want.
now the problem is I heard them on a Sunfire Reciever.. Was wondering if anybody owned Denon and Martin logans or has heard them. I am sure I could pester them at Magnolia but not really worth it till I get some feedback :)

Also what people think of the Velodyne HGS 2 10"
In repsect to umm Rattles and Equipment moveing?
I dont want to be watching a movie and all the sudden something fall beacuse of shakeing from velodyne

Some feadback on this would be great.
will ask other questions later on what all i want to use to build this system

Martin Logan & Denon are quite famous, at least in 'high end' audio. If you like them, buy it, that's the main rule.

Denon has been around a long time too, and is well known for super expensive no-holds-barred electronics. $10000 CD Player? Might be a Denon.

Sunfire has done great things in home theatre for a while as well, I think they made their name with high end subwoofers that are fast & tight.

I don't have any experience with the equipment you specify; however you shouldn't be frightened by the marquees you name.

regarding shaking, you should probably consider reinforcing the flooring of the room you have the gear in... probably joist supports or the like. Bass that sounds great & tight in the store showroom might sound dead & fuzzy because of your floor's rigidity or lack of it.
