Good Evening,
I've written to several forums but I need some more opinions before I spend my hard-earned money. I have been researching receivers and speakers since last September. I've read a lot about Axiom speakers and they seem to be a great bargain and listening experience. The top of the line is the M-80 which is rated at 4 ohms. I thought I would settle on the Denon 3803 when I read some info on Rotel products. The reviews said their 2-channel performance was better then Denon. Though my daughter will probably talk me into a DVD player quite soon I will spend more time listening to classical music and good old rock and roll.
What I want to know is whether the Rotel RSX, rated at 75 watts, will have any trouble with the 4-ohm M-80's? My present receiver and speakers are 30 years old. I presume my next purchase will be my last unless the lottery is good to me. I don't want to go through the hassle of having the equipment sent to me to preview and then return it if its not a good match. YES, I am lazy. I would like the Rotel RSX1065 but it is a little out of my price range. I'm already doing extra detention duty to get more money.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
