At some point in the future (hopefully within the year) I'll be buying a new tv.
My viewing habits are as follows (in order of importance to me)
1) DVD movies
2) Live TV
3) Crappy VHS recordings of TV
I want HDTV capability - as I'm sure HDTV broadcasts (via air/cable/sat) will very soon be becoming the standard TV we all watch.
I want a big tv. Minimum 55" (65-70 would be even better) Though I don't want to suffer image quality loss due to a few more inches.
From what I've been reading the new LCos rptv's have the best picture in the rptv style of tv. (is this correct?) How do they compare to a separate DLP projector/screen setup? Which would be best suited for my needs/wants?
I'm also big into "bang for the buck". So if LCoS and DLP projectors aren't THAT much better than a good rptv, please say so!
Or am I completely off track? I didn't reallize there were so many dang differnt tv's now!
