EchoStar Communications Corporation, parent company of DishNetwork , announced that sometime this summer customers will see the addition of two new high-definition television networks, HDNet and HDNet Movies.

These two new channels will be available to customers using DISH Network's new SuperDish, which was recently unveiled to satellite TV retailers at a past conference announement. The SuperDish is a new elliptical 66-centimeter dish capable of offering customers access to hundreds of popular channels, local channels in new markets, HDTV programming, as well as international programming. The SuperDish is capable of receiving satellite signals from three orbital locations.

As some of you already now, HDNet features a variety of HDTV programming, including live sports, sitcoms, action series, documentaries, travel programs, music concerts, special events, and news features including the popular HDNet World Report.

Mark Cuban's new HDNet Movies delivers full-length feature films transferred from 35mm to high-definition, including titles from an extensive library of Warner Brothers films and more than 250 blockbuster theatrical hits from Sony Pictures Television Entertainment. HDNet Movies will also feature a mix of theatrical releases, made-for-TV movies, and independent films.

HDNet and HDNet Movies will be added to DISH Network's existing HDTV lineup of Discovery Theater HD, HBO, Showtime, CBS, and a pay-per-view movie channel. Pricing and packaging for HDNet and HDNet Movies will be made available to DISH Network customers this summer.
