I play counter-strike, its about the only game i play. I would like to get your views on it.

I think Half Life (ONLINE! HL is an awesome game on its own) and CS in general suck. I've yet to see why they are popular.

It is popular because its one of the first, good, multiplayer game and is still quite popular. Even though I have played Unreal 2003, BF 1942, and others I always seem to come back to CS.

Though when Half-Life 2 comes out, and eventually CS 2, ill ditch it. :D

I used to play counter-stike a lot and was rather decent at it. But I got sick of all the little kids and hackers. I've played tacops which is fun as well.

My new heroin is battlefield 1942. I love that game. But woe is me, I never get to play due to the amount of work I have, plus I have a family life.

No, Mechwarrior 2 was the first, good, multiplayer game :)

halflife sucked because 56k sucked.
Heavy GEAR 2 ROCKED
I76 and I82 were awesome.
Doom is still good.
Tribes 2, ROCKS STILL, but is dieing.

Mostly depends on the mood. Still get ppl in I82. If you can get all the updates, and maps.

army sucked becuase of to high grade graphics to run on lower machines.
1942 Is interesting but cant get into multiplayer, YET.
Gal civ, am just starting, but its buggy.
Moo2 was good.
Moo3 is a mistake.
Mech warrior, Try HEAVY gear, faster, and smaller mechs.
Jumpgate gets boring.
Galactic(something), online game 3D plays well on 56k, is good($10 a month).
A few RPGs are neet. But I hate Paying to play.

MW2 was and is a much more popular game than HG. And for good reason, its better ;)

I have to admit I was addicted to HL:CS for a good 6 months. Something about it really does suck you in. I was still using a 850 P3 with a GeForce 256, so it was one of the few games left I could play. Then I discovered CS hacks and the game instantly became a million times more fun. I didn't cheat all the time, just when there was an ******* on the server. I thought it was fun to wipe out the jerks through the walls in the first 10 seconds of the game :) I'd use the wallhack, but never an aimbot. After cheating got out of hand, I kinda left. I could be on a server with 20 ppl, 9 of which were cheating.

Now, Tribes just rocks the planet. I just wish it wasn't dwindling like it is. I got the PS2 game and it really is nothing compared to the pc game.

um, no. I played MW2 on 28.8 and 56k, as did the majority of Kali and Mplayer.
