Hello,
I found this site yesterday at google when I was looking for info about modding a 9500 to a 9700, and I read the whole post about it - yes, I had plenty of time :) - and I liked this forum and I began to see the rest of the website.
So, I found a mistake at the "guide to installing a video card" - it is said that the last slot (the blue one)o f the motherboard being showed is an ISA slot, but that's not right - an ISA slot is much longer than other slots, and it looks very different from an PCI or AGP slot.
Here is a pic of an Soyo motherboard with 2 ISA slots:

If my memory is correct, that blue slot is an AMR slot - i think it's used for some kind of modems - something curios about this slot - it looks like an inversed PCI slot.
I hope to have helped this site :)

See ya,
Kosh

Thanks for correcting me :D - but a slot called AMR (Audio Modem Riser) also exists. I always switch ACR with AMR...
So, to clear things up - ACR looks like a reversed PCI slot, and an AMR slot is very small (almost 1/3 the size of a PCI slot) and dark brown.

You are right and we appologize for not scutinizing the picture further. We sometimes get in a hurry. It is actually a ACR (Advanced Communication Riser) slot.
Here is the original pic we wrote in to the article.

The pic you see in it was another article all together HEH!

This is a CNR BTW which is a Communication Network riser which is used by certain modems and integrated telephony cards such as Telephone answering devices. HP used these alot it the Pavillion series PCs which made it difficult to upgrade the sound card in some models a few years ago.

Sharp eye. Thanx for the heads up!
