I noticed the banner ads linking to inkjetmadness.com, which actually had decent pricing.

I also noticed that generic epson cartridges are much cheaper than the HP / Lexmark cartridges, no doubt due to the fact that the printhead on the Epson is on the printer and while it is on the actual cartridge itself in the HP / Lexmark printer.

I just ordered the Epson 785EPX printer for work and was extremely impress by its photo quality output.

My question is for those with HP / Lexmark printers whether your inkjets provide image output that greatly exceeds the Epsons.

Because I planned to get a new inkjet soon, and the price of replacement cartridges certainly will factor in my decision. Any reasons why I should use HP / Lexmark?

TIA

I would go with whatever brand has the largest and cheapest ink cartridges. It think the quality on all the new printers regardless of brand is going to be great. Generally the 3 top brands are Epson, HP and Canon. They all look great too. The tough part is going to be buying a new cartridge every month at $39.99 a pop.

Also, go with a printer that has multiple color cartridges, that way if Cyan and Magenta goes out, you can replace just that color versus a whole new cartridge, this should be cheaper.

I also love my epson, but it tends to have problems way more than it should.
