In a world surrounded by fake error messages, hurting various animals in order to win prizes, and other half-assed attempts at getting my attention and interest, it isn't often when a banner will actually do that. Recently, I've seen a few that actually don't suck. No, really.

Extremetech was the first one. Seen on DT itself, the banner on a stick of ram, and the skyscraper banner that uses hardware to make a little game.

The next one i like is at the top of anandtech.com. It's by Yamaha, of their new external cd burner, which is pretty amazing. This banner shows pictures of what it can do, including the drive and a disc burned with their new Disc T@2 data imaging system. All this, with the drive's biggest features in a semitransparent box running the length of the banner. 24x RW, Mt. Ranier support....

Anyways, has anyone else noticed any banners that don't suck? List em here.

I have seen the Yamaha at Anandtech, HardOCP and TechTV so far. I would like to find out who to contact to get them to advertise on Designtechnica.

I am getting tired of our "You have one message, click here" BS.
