Check out our latest review, the Philips Sonic Edge 5.1 soundcard (http://reviews.designtechnica.com/review145.html)

With this product being ranked 3rd in a 4 product line up, I must say that Philips has created an excellent price/performance ratio. Their innovative ideas for surround sound and low cost speaker enhancement make this product an excellent choice for those looking for an inexpensive, intermediate sound solution. I am hoping that in the future Philips will create a sound card APU (audio processing unit) that will actually include Dolby Digital decoding and encoding, even though they do a pretty good job without it.

Sounds like it's a decent card. I haven't heard this card personally, but I've heard one of the other cards in Philips lineup...and they perform exceptionally well.

Price is right too :)

Personally I would liked to have seen a firewire port or two...but its not a necessity.

If I was building a system for someone, I would probably use this card since its so cheap and good. I like seeing sound cards without the Creative labs name on it.

What DSP is on the card. I dont see it listed.
Looks alot like the CL live 5.1 which is a very nice card. and is as cheap.
