I'm dieing here..someone..please...give me some info on the new Powerbooks coming out!! What's going to replace the current 15" model? Speeds, etc.. Does anyone have any info?

I dunno about the specs, but I would be interesting to see how Apple is going to cram that has a power consumption rate of > 40 watts into the Powerbook without some interesting cooling options. I think that will be the biggest challenge for Apple and the OEMs that will be building it.

I did a little investigation last night and it looks like the new powerbooks will not have the IBM G5, but may go with a newer G4 from motorola (blaaaaaaa)

What about a dual proc notebook? Thats what the latest buzz seems to be.

I heard the same thing. If Apple does this, then they are completely insane. I wonder what the battery life of the notebook would be like with two procs running.

there is no way they will be able to put the G5 into the PB until they move the fab down to 0.09. I foresee 1.33Ghz G4 at the most.
