Hello all,
I am using windows me and my modem will not be detected.
The modem I have is...
PC TEL
FB PCTEL-AMR
PC TEL 56K FAX/MODEM
AMR Slot Connection, 56K Max Data transfer Rate.

I could not find any modem drivers for this modem.
Does anyone know where to find the right driver for this modem?
I also tried removing then installing the modem but it didn't work.

Thanx.

Does it detect a PCI device but not the modem itself? Have you been able to find the modem drivers off the net by chance.

Dumb question but is the modem PCI or ISA based?

There will be 2 drivers.
one is the ennumerator, its the serial control, then the modem driver.
If these are installed, fine.
If it still dont see it, or its missed placed.
3 things to try.
1, trade up to Win2000.
2. sence the driver is installed, remove ALL serial drivers, and reset the system, it should find it. TOTAL shut down, not reset.
3. remove serial drivers, shut down system, unplug the card, start the system(without card) shut down, put card in, and restart.

There is another way, if this dont work, and it LOTS OF FUN over a group chat. If it dont work, leave a msg, contact me on yahoo msg.

It's actually in the AMR slot?? Ugh..did it come with the computer? if it did, then I'd look in the software/docs that came with your computer.
