The graphics look pretty good, but its the RPG element that intrigues me. Let me know if anyone has tried it.

Well I am hooked. The battle system is very unique and it works well. The voice acting and story so far have been superb. Only complaint I have is about the slow downs. Not extremely annoying and never happens in say a battle, but just the fact that it is occuring is enough to make me a sad panda.

Does it slow down while you are in a battle or just walking around?

Most of the time it's just when you're walking around in the city. However, I've put a lot more time in to the game now and everyone now and then you'll get a little slow down during battle, BUT the way the battle system is designed it really doesn't matter. You can pause at any time and basically queue a list of commands for each member of the party, and you can also give them commands real time. So it's not all turn based, but if you have a problem with the pace of battle then you can always pause it.
sounds like an exciting game! how do the graphics look to you?

They're not bad at all, but honestly they're not the best either. Pretty easy to look at but there haven't been many jaw dropping moments. The backgrounds are amazing though, especially on Tatooine which has multiple suns. The place the graphics hurt the most is in the faces... I read reviews stating that BioWare overused the faces, but that was an understatement. I've found unique characters literally 15 feet away that have the same exact face. They're are used multiple times on each and every planet. It's not extremely annoying, but it is very easy to notice. As for the gameplay, basically take a Baldur's Gate game and give it a 3d engine + the Starwars universe. Not a bad combination at all, IMO.

I bought it and was hooked the first week. After that, I lost my patience. I'm not a big RPG fan, but this game is pretty cool. It's like an interactive movie to me. I recommend it. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 7.
why did you lose your patience on it?

I keep getting stuck in certain places, and when I figure it out I'm like, "Why didn't I see that 4 hours ago?" It frustrates me.
Ah yes, i hate puzzles in games. At least very complicated ones. I dont consider getting frustrated fun. Some people enjoy solving puzzles, but I'm sure not one of em.

I must say, that this game ranks in my 'favorite all time games list.' It is absolutely amazing. Pick it up now that the price has dropped on PC at wal mart. I'm kind of disapointed that Bioware isn't making the sequel.
