Dell Ultrasharp Screens Vs Presario X1000

Hi,
Has anybody seen the Dell Ultrasharp screens on the Inspiron 8500 and the Presario X1000? Which has the better screen?

I have seen both (in the WSXGA+ size) and I honestly don't know if you could tell a difference. Both laptops are made by Compal and it's possible they use exactly the same screens.

Neither one however is as good as the quality of the VPR 200A5 screen with regards to the brightness and contrast. The VPR screen just looks more vibrant.

With that said, both the 8500 and x1000 screens are *very* nice.

so which one would be the better one? The Dell D800 or the Compaq Presario X1000? I looked at their specs and both looked pretty much the same. I don't know which one to choose......any help guys?

Go with whichever you think looks better. Of crouse you cannot try out the Dell before you buy it eh?
