Where is the x1000 made from?

I have ordered x1000 on last Monday. I maybe get it in next Tuesday. Can anyone tell me where is x1000 made from?
Taiwan, China, Korea or another country?

From what I've read, Compal makes the X1000 and I was of the impression that company is in Taiwan.

Yeah it's odd that all reports are that it's made by Compal, a Taiwanese company - but it definitely comes from China (says "Made in China" and was shipped from Shanghai). maybe it's just assembled in China?
