I started playing this again, man the graphics are stunning! The gameplay is pretty repetative like Diablo, but its still a lot of fun. Have you guys tried it at all?

You are thinking about a different game. The graphics are Dungeon Siege are pretty intense and are DirectX 8 compatible. Its made by Microsoft and came out about a year ago.

Maybe this will be a refresher: http://www.dungeonsiege.com/index.shtml

If I remember correctly, you liked the game but had trouble with your mouse working with it.

Does it have free online play, or is it another $10 amonth thing.

I'm currently halfway through nightmare mode in Diablo2. Gonna DL the demo for this and give it a shot...looks cool.

Na its free to play online. They even have some new maps you can download. I stayed up till 3AM playing this the other day. Yes, its repetitive like Diablo, but the graphics are killer.

Its been out for a while, so you can probably find it dirt cheap.

I played this single player a long while ago... was ok but it didn't offer me much direction so I just kinda went on wondering what was going on. Heh. But it's not horrible... Anyway, I'm pretty sure they're working on DS2 now. It's suppose to be pretty good.

Only problems with most current games, is on release they are still beta and (im old enough) they put more graphics into them then game play.
Iv played games in the past that the graphics sucked but the game sucked you into playing it. Even with current cards, medium graphics and a good game would be killer.
Im playing 1942 now, and its a FAIR game. But it WANTS a 2ghz system with 512 meg and a 128 meg vid, and ALOT(over 1gig) of cache on the system. and 56k SUCKS, even tho they SAY it works.
Then in the game, I hit a chopper at 50 feet, that was hovering, 2 times with artilery shells, and NO damage. so I rate it FAIR. So what the tails on choppers arent hit points, neather are the doors, or the bottom.

Elite2, frontier Elite was the first open ended space sim. and it fit on a floppy disk, had a 3D map of the whole milkyway, full panetary system(with rotations of sun and planets), and Gravity to fight when you landed on planets or went by suns. If they would just remake it, and update the graphics, I would sit here in the dark and play again for another 5-7 years. So what it was filled vector graphics, and minor textours. With over 150 different planets, and exploring, trading, bartering, shooting pirates, joining 1 of 3 military, and spy missions, kill missions, currier missions, taxi services, and it fit on a Floppy disk.

What's with you and the floppy disk games :P. Anyway I suppose system requirements are a big part of the reason Counter-Strike is as popular as it is. About playing the demo of a game first... well I have a nasty habit of getting the "full" demo ;) .

I bought this game when it first came out. I had a great time with it too. Could get into the zonematch thing though. The API doesn't like software firewalls either. Hardware was no prob but zone alarm killed it. HEHE. HAve fun guys this game is a little on the repetitive side, true. Get the chicken gun though. it was pretty cool.

i liked this game until i got really far in it and all of a sudden quit liking my mouse on that character. I could start a new character and mouse was fine, go back into my saved character and no mouse. :(
