I thought this was a very intriguing system given its comparable in size to the AMS GBox, but a bit more refined in appearance, almost resembling a hifi mini system.

Chassis Size: 202mm(W) x 320mm(D) x 151(H) mm

Also, take a gander at the LCM equalizer display on the front.

It's a computer, no wait, it's an AM/FM Tuner, no wait, it's a TV tuner, no wait, CD player, no wait, DVD Player, No Wait...
It's all that and more.

Has anyone heard anyone who has had experience with this model.

Sweeeet! I would love to have a little media PC at some point for my HT system. problem with most of them is that rther than make these PCs another component in a good system, alot of people try to force the computer to BE the whole system (Tivo, DVD player, HD receiver, music server, etc.) I'm waiting for better all around compatability.

The only thing I see different, is that the comp can play MP3.

I wouldnt use it as a TV tuner, and as per ROOM in the case, 160gig HD, and DVD and thats it. Hope you get a BIG fan with it. Its going to get hot in that case.
They have boom boxes now, with USB imputs for MP3.
200w PS
P4..2.8ghz
2gig ram max
and the SIS chipset...Yuck.
1 PCI
1 AGP, 4x.. ????
ALC 650 sound board....Yuck.
And its all intergrated, sorry.

It would be a great system store MP3's on, play DVD's on your television, record TV programs and more. I wonder if it is relatively quiet though?

Put your comp, in a close area. With little circulation.
Upto a 10x10 room. Look at the heat you can get. Raise the temp about 5 degrees in a 10x10 room. Let alone a monitor large enough to see the display from distance, unless you want to display on a TV(yuck), a high end TFT would be nice. but isnt that even MORE expence.

Does that volume control actually work? It doesn't do something stupid like overclock the processor or video card when you turn it does it?

Its just an interface, probably threw the USB channel.. Its only for sound. Its like the buttons on the USB Keyboards, that interface to the sound card. This just has a Volume display.

Still, this looks pretty damn cool to me.

Looking COOL, and paying for it are 2 different things.

A thing to remember. Pretty things attract attention and you like to show them off to everyone. This also makes them Prey to those that steal. Its(IMHO) best to have a cheap simple BORING case, with out the fancy sideshow, then to LOOSE it.
