I recently posted a request for feedback regarding an Nvidia mobo and ATI vid card config and any potential problems therein.
Additionally, I am curious if anyone has found there to be any problems with the ATI chipsets and/or Visiontek Xtasy Radeon cards in any Asus and/or Via Chipset and/or Via KT333 chipset mobos.
I am looking to upgrade to a video card with the Charisma Engine II and ATI's bundle of goodies.
Longtime Nvidia fan frustrated ever since the GeForce III came out and the new MX and TI series broke cards down into marketing categories. Don't want to pay a fortune for good graphics anymore since it seems to take two to three generations for them to actually make improvements.
Persoanl Video card history:
1. 286-15 Integrated Video 1990
2. 486-66DX2 Integrated Video 1993
3. Pentium 166 Number Nine Imagine 128 8MB 1995
4. Celeron 300
oc'd to 450 Diamond Multimedia Viper V550 1997
Currently:
5. PIII-600 Visontek GeForce II GTS Pro 32 MB 2000
6. AMD 1900XP Abit Siluro MX 440 64MB 2002
7. AMD 1800XP Nforce Integrated Video 2003
