Need Some HELP. I present the Toshiba Laptop P25-S607. Today is the last day I can return it, after today it is mine and no return. My question is this, Compare this system to the Dell Laptop 8600 with a Nvidia 5600 with 128 dedicated VRAM or one similiar. This is quite a bit of money, so what do you think? Also, please consider the cost. THANKS in ADVANCE!

I ordered a Dell 5150 with similar stats (except the display is not widescreen-- 15 inch UXGA and the processor is 3.06 M, the toshiba has a desktop processor I believe which eats up more battery) to the Toshiba, but it only cost 1850 after tax. Is the larger screen really worth close to 900 dollars more? Also Dell offers 30 day money back policy-- all you would have to do is pay the 20-30 dollar fee to ship it back. I would return the Toshiba and try the Dell. Worse comes to worse, you return the Dell and buy another Toshiba like you got. And it only cost you 20 to 30 dollars.

P.S. It appears you are buying this machine with game playing in mind. I would suggest against widescreen displays. They have weird resolutions that most games cannot run in. This leads to stretched, blurrier picture (since the game is not running in the screens native resolution). Also the extra 64 megs on the 8600 would be wasted since it is only used in 90% of games at resolutions 1600x1200 or higher with AA enabled. I really doubt you will be using either of those options on a laptop. Save the money... or atleast thats what I did.
