I especially like the feature that keeps it going after a HD wipe.
PC PhoneHome cannot be removed by unauthorized parties even if they attempt to wipe the computer's hard drive using format or fdisk commands.
That is so COOL.
I wonder how effective it would be if the computer was using DHCP and NAT. The email would probably get through, but I wonder if you would get the generic IP or the true one.
hmmm

If it runs windows, useing Outlook, it would be easy.
If it just uses the NEW persons email, that could be a problem, unless they write in a code that Logs the ISP, and then ROUTES straight threw to your email, from the company that MADE the program.. That would be cool.
Talk about NOT looseing your comp. Great for the government...
The FBI lost 300 laptops, loaned to employees. They didnt know it for 5 years, when they did a resource check of ALL equipment. LMAO.. If a business did this they would go out of business.

Well, we have not done any software reviews on the site. I kind of wanted to stick with consumer electronics. If more people think software reviews would be a good idea, let me know and we might start adding them once the new site portal is complete.
I was just wondering about certain, software..
Forget all the Highend, over priced Stuff..
Just Software that could really do something for all of us. Not just an artist, or cad design, music writer, HTML writer.....
Stuff that could add real use to all of us..

I bet if you replaced the HD it would get rid of the PhoneHome program.
I just don't understand how this can be assigned to one computer, even if they Zero their drive. Isn't their software out there that is specifically written for getting rid of everything on the HD? Maybe it is installed into the BIOS somehow.
What we should do is buy the program and a cheap HD, clone your install, remove the old drive and then procede to cause havok.
