Lost Sound Almost Completely

what's up everyone? I got my 220a5 on august 25th, and everything worked great. Of course until today...Today i notice when i play any movie/mp3 or anything, when the volume wheel is on 10 the volume is hardly audible at all. I plugged earphones in and the same with the earphones. I messed with almost every single volume option in windows and they are all full blast. Does anyone have any clue whats wrong with this picture? I have no idea whats wrong and i really dont want to bring it to Best Buy. Any help/ideas/suggestions welcome. THanks

try unplug your laptop, take out the battery and leave your laptop for a couple of minutes . put battery back in and start OS.

Hey geekrock, i just tried what you suggested and to no avail. I left the battery out for bout 5min and the sound is the same volume.

oh yea and by the way...does anyone know what the thing is where if you see the price cheaper after you buy it they'll give you the difference or what not? does that work with rebates? cuz i just noticed on the BB web site they givin 250 in rebates, and when i got it they only gave 200 in rebates. Just wondering thanks.

Problem Solved! I called the 800 number on the vpr matrix web site, which happens to be the BEst Buy tech support number as well. THe guy i talked to told me to uninstall everything that was under Sound, Video and Game Controllers in the device manager and restart. WHen restarted i guess they were reinstalled automatically by windows. But after that the audio is back to normal. TOok total of about 15 minutes. ANd i sure am glad i didnt have to go to BB or send the laptop in for service. THis was my first encounter with VPR cust service and i'd have to say im pleased with it. Lets see how many more times i gotta call though....THanks geekrock for your help.
