The phone is definitely great for people who do a lot of wireless e-mail and texting... but the one thing that kind of annoyed me when toying with (Ian's) phone was the small joystick for navigation. I'd rather prefer a D-pad rather than a joystick (my previous phone, Motorola P280, had a joystick and never really liked it).

Not having BT in the 6800 (and my 6200) is a drag, mostly since the phone supports GPRS (and EDGE in the 6200), but the modem driver that comes with Nokia PC tools (separate USB cable purchased separately :() doesn't detect my phone as a wireless modem. grr.

The only other gripe that I have with the XHTML browser is that (at least with my 6200) as a rediculously low page size limit. There are times that I can view my own website and there are times that I can't (it depends on how much text is generated for the random fortune). The browser does render pages pretty well for such a small and low-res screen.

I guess I have become used to the joystick because my Sony Ericsson T68i had one as well. I actually prefer the joystick on the 6800 over the Sony because it is not as loose, it snaps in the direction you want pretty good.

I realy wish it had Bluetooth as well, but I notice that Nokia is only putting Bluetooth in a handfull of their phones for some reason.

Just found out that the Nokia 6850 will be coming out this year. It adds Bluetooth and a digital camera. http://www.areamobile.de/index.php?pg=php/pages/viewSingleNewsP.php&news_id=758

Kind of wished I waited now. But oh well.

hehe... I guess it's always that way with technology... but one can't just be in a perpetual wait state ;)

I'll drink to that. I have a Bluetooth dongle on my computer now and I liked syncing that way with my T68i, but I suppose I could manage plugging my phone into a cable *sigh...hehe

I played with one of these at CompUSA. I think I will wait for the Bluetooth version to come out and get that. Also, the headset on this phone and the other new Nokia phones is terrible. The wrap-around design hurts your ears and feel uncomfortable.
