Hi everyone,

Have been shopping laptops like crazy and one thing that bothers me is that it seems that Toshiba laptops (including their Tecra M1 line) all have regular 1024x768 resolutions other than the 5200 & M10 (1600x1200).

Is this right? There are NO 1400x1050 native res models in te whole Toshiba line-up?

How can that be?

Thanks

Frank

This is common is 99% of the laptops out there. Unless you get a widescreen laptop with a weird screen resolution, this is pretty much what you should expect. My recommendation to you would be to go with a non-widescreen laptop if you are not a HUGE movie buff. The widescreen laptops tend to distort the resolution in some games and applications if the software program does not support that resolution.

From what I've seen, quite a few manufacturers offer the 1400x1050 screens on their laptops (Dell, Compaq) which is why I was really surprised to see that Toshiba did not.

Thanks!
