I noticed on the casing, below the keyboard and parallel to the touchpad, on both sides of the case there are these 1" long black tabs??
Mine are pushed in, my friend's 220A5's tabs are pushed out and up; flush to the rest of the casing. How can I make mine like that? Is this the mini PCI cover? How do I remove it completely?
thanks!

To be honest, I do not this it matters, mine was the same way. My guess is that during manufacturing the knotches need to be there for one of the machines or people assembling the laptop.

Someone in one of these forums has said that they are the covers for the antenna for the wifi card.

I had a feeling they were the cover for the mini PCI cards, how do I take them off?

They aren't the covers for the mini PCI cards; they cover they antenna wires that run to the mini PCI card slot on the bottom of the computer. The PCI slot is under the squarish cover under the ventillation holes on the right side of the computer, when view from the bottom.

DO NOT TRY TO TAKE THESE TABS OUT.
From what I saw when I took mine apart these are not removable at all. The cover the antenna's for your notebooks WiFi. So the metal case causes less interference.

We decided to try these ads for a month instead of pop-unders. They should only show up once per 24 hours. It helps us cover the cost of running the site.
Sorry if they are bothering you.. :(

Once every 24hrs? I get one every page load, EVERY. Maybe there's a cookie problem but I don't see how, since the site recognizes my user ID when I come back. Sometimes when a page loads I just get the ad, Period, no scroll or text. I like the site so I'll endure it if I have to, but it's not a happy feature.
