The new 15- and 17-inch PowerBook G4 models are available immediately, and the new 12-inch PowerBook G4 is expected to be available later this month through the Apple Store® (http://www.apple.com/), at Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.

The 1.0 GHz, 15-inch PowerBook G4, for a suggested retail price of $1,999 (US), includes:

Combo (DVD-ROM/CD-RW) optical drive;
256MB DDR SDRAM; and
60GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive.

The 1.25 GHz, 15-inch PowerBook G4, for a suggested retail price of $2,599 (US), includes:

SuperDrive™ (DVD-R/CD-RW) optical drive;
512MB DDR SDRAM;
80GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive;
AirPort Extreme 54Mbps wireless networking; and
Backlit keyboard with ambient light sensor.

The 1.33 GHz, 17-inch PowerBook G4, for a suggested retail price of $2,999 (US), includes:

SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW) optical drive;
512MB DDR SDRAM;
80GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive;
AirPort Extreme 54Mbps wireless networking; and
Backlit keyboard with ambient light sensor.
