i have a vpr 200A5 and i've been using it hooked up to a lcd projector for a while now. its been operating under the windows xp dual monitor thing, where you can span your desktop across two monitors.

however what i want to do is have the same stuff display on both monitors, ie the laptop screen and the projector should show the exact same thing. i believe this is called "clone mode". however i've been looking through all the xp settings and the nView settings and have not come across anything like that.

does anybody have any idea how to make clone mode work with win xp home edition on the vpr 200A5?

I have the 5200 card.
And it has the option, in the screen preferences.
Right click on screen, tab settings, bottom advanced, geforce, Nview display mode.

NOW I dont know if you have updated drivers.

for a laptop, its usually not the OS but a setting in the laptop. you usually have to hit Function key and F8 a couple times to cycle through the different modes.

Hitting Fn + F3 should toggle between the internal and external monitor. Hitting it enough times should get you to the point where both monitors are on. You'll probably have to adjust the resolution of the notebook's monitor to match that of the external monitor.

I also have a "clone" setting under the nVida settings under display properties.

No worries! thats what we are here for. :) Did it work for you? My dell uses F8, does vpr use F3?
