As an avid Apple user *cough*, one thing I have noticed about all of the apple products I own (just one) is the time and effort Apple has put into the packaging and presentation of their products.

I remember when I first received my iPod, I spent at least 10 secs basking in the holy glory of the box it was packaged in. Then a coworker hit me with a spitball.

But I found this article (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/gate/archive/2003/10/01/notes100103.DTL) of how one person gives his thoughts on the packaging of Apple products.

nice packaing i'm sure has swayed many times. You get a sense of comfort if there has been a lot of thought put into the packaging. If something has lame packaging, i dont trust it.

Yep...presentation is a big part :)

It would kinda make me sad if I received a pretty expensive gadget that was just wrapped in bubble wrap and stuffed in a pillow case, ya know?

But when you GET what you are buying, no matter the packageing, it is a JOY to behold.

Take them all out of the bag, and dirty up the cases, and then test them, THEN decide which works best.

Cerial works the same way, ever wondere WHY it takes kids so long to decide.

I could post something about quality of products and needing to compensate for quality in something something... but if I did, Ioman would be angry at me :)

So, Yes. Apple's box designs are cool looking. ;)

I must admit that I'm about to replace my main home machine w/ a Imac G4. My wife thinks its cool enough to be seen by other people, she thinks its easy to use, and Apple solved my biggest gripe about them-->a weird freakin' OS. Now OS X seems to rock and I don't have to worry about virii people trying to hose my system constantly.
