That's an interesting idea. I dont think I would trust it much. A gyroscope type method works great for Human Transporter, but I would trust this motorcycle hybrid if I got over 15 MPH. Those front wheels stay down until 20 KMH anyways.
Seems very risky indeed. Especially if you are cornering and hit an oil spot, or if it's raining. If any of you have ridden motorcycles, you know what I mean. When you start sliding from oil or from when it's wet out and you slip on paint on the road, you can usually pull out of it (although you may wet your shorts a bit..) On this, I think you'd be SOL and just hit the pavement. One nice thing about motocycles is that you can manuver quickly to get out of the way. Again, I can't see that happening on this.
How do you turn at low speeds? Looks like the front wheels turn.. does that mean at high speeds they may turn as well, even if they aren't on the road? Sounds like that could cause some type of drag issue.
One person made something like this, but much larger and he sat in the ring of the tire.
The problems arise with speed up and slow down. Speed up and you fly back, slow down and you fly forward. The guy who made it finally tried it at high speed and found this very hurtful(as he crashed).
The control would be awesome. Id like to see how they managed to control it.
Ya, i saw that bike on monster garage. that was very very weird looking. they showed him crashing too.
