I just have to ask this before investing money in home theater equipment that is silver....will the silver fad pass anytime soon?
Of course black will always stay hip and current, but what about the new silver color!?

I'm not a huge silver fan, but when done right... it does look good. I've always liked black as a color, but the huge problem is that it shows dust more than silver.

And on the other hand, I am a huge silver fan. I would like to think that it's not one of those fly by night fads, and that it's here to stay.
Especially with the proper lighting in the area, such as wall lights, pendant lights, and track lights. It all looks really good when put together :)
But of course I guess it all boils down to personal opinion.
Ma! wheres the spay paint.
silver has come and gone and has been a color you could choose for as long as I can remember. I dont think it's going away anytime soon.

Oh god, you scare me when you say stuff like that!
you can change to the color you want, and the style. And acrylic paint will stay pretty well. Pink and purple would be fine, or striped as a Zebra. And at $2 a color, I think its ALOT cheaper then $20 for 35 cents worth of plastic.

gimmi black!
Come ON!
Any color you want, at the push of a button. That or find some contact paper, and make it ANYTHING you want, including marble. Just cut out the Air holes.
REALLY, if you think FAD is what you want, buy it now and re-buy it again in 2-3 years. Dont wory about FAD, buy what works GREAT, and tell the world to SUCK themselves.
Its like the FAD of putting holes in your comp case for Lights and a clear panel. WHY pay someone $200 when you can make your OWN style for the cost of TIME for a $50 case.

dude, what are you talking about
Fads suck.
Spend your money if you want, but in less then 2 years there will be another.
The $300 case with the cut-outs, see-thru side, and lights.
What you aint seen it?

umm.. but this is a home theater section
Archon,
It dont mater, he is asking about the color of his Tuner.
Does it REALLY matter, what color it is. He is talking FAD. In 3 months the color of choice is going to be wood grain, then black, then blue, then brown, then back to silver/gray.
Would you pay extra just because someone added color to a metal case? This aint cheap, this is $50-100 difference in price.
Its like WOW, its a sony, and its cute. Sounds like crap and its not ergonomic or easy to use and costs 2x as much as another unit, but its SONY.
All you get for playing in the Fad's is BROKE.

um.. its just a silver tuner, they're like the same price as black tuners.
if it was a silver tuner with neon lights and it had a pop-up LCD displaying a little dude jogging when it is doing something, or.. then sure.
but its just silver.
