If you mean 'Will I lose everything on my hard drive if I use a recovery disk?' the answer is YES.
All programs and documents that you have saved on your computer will be gone.
Backup your documents to a CD-R before using the recovery disk if possible.
1. You will loose every thing from the date of the backup forward to this date.
2. do you have MORE then 1 partition?
3. EXTRA save now, EMAIL addresses, and email, Internet Favorites, AND COOKIES(these have your passwords to sits you are on).
4. I dont know which backup you are using, and what you BACKEDUP. A FULL System backup is VERY large anymore(more then 10 CD's)
5. do a search on the system, of files created AFTER your backup date, decide what to save.

I don't know if this applies to all VPR computers, but with the 200A5, you have a few options with the recovery disk. One will wipe out everything on the hard drive and restore the computer to the condition it was in when you bought it.
Another option (I can't remember how it is labeled) will allow you to reinstall system files without deleting your exiting files. You might want to try that one first.
At any rate, you should always back up your important files before attempting a recovery.
