Windows SP1 ruined my network

Has anyone noticed that after you install service pack one on your network, you cannot see any of the computers in the work group?

I had to resetup my network setting on the computer where I installed SP1 and during the the setup it kept erroring out. I could not see any computers in the workgroup and they could not see me. I was seriously pissed off so bad. I finally got it to work, but I still think its messed up....

Anyone else have similar problems?:mad:

Windows networking is a major pain in the arse. It's basically bang away and hope you get it right.

Why are you installing SP1? SP3 is out now.

I am pissed, cause on dailup I can't download the darn thing. No way I am paying 15-18$$ for M$ to send it to me.

I believe Ioman means XP Sp1 and vindiscko, you mean Win2k sp3?

XP Sp1 just came out today, along with IE 6 SP1 (at least I just noticed IE6 sp1)

I haven't had any probs with it here at work. I'll find out when I get home if I have any probs.

It took sooooo long to install I may way a while to install it to let the download # lower
