I am still waiting to buy a new player.
Here's what I need:
--minimum 1.5 gig capacity
--voice record
--very small size (not much bigger than IPOD)
--FM radio
--less than $250
any thoughts?
the new mpio 1.5 gig player seems to do everything I need, but it's not available in the U.S. (anyone know when it might be???)
is there something else I've overlooked?

Have you looked at the Rio Nitrus? It has a 1.5GB drive in it.

Also, register dude. Anonymous posts are lame, why do they even allow them on here?
Hope that link helps. Although MPIO products rock as well.

Try emailing them at their San Diego address.

I emailed that person to ask about availability and got a response within hours.

re: emailing MPIO--Sinistar, would you please share what they said? (I do not have email access from work)
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN
you could get the the iRiver iGP-100 (http://www.iriveramerica.com/products/iGP-100.asp)
It has 1.5GB of storage, fm tuner, ogg/mp3/wma support, 12 hour playback time, and built-in battery recharger. It does not have a voice recorder though. :(

Well I was asking about the FY200 model, which is at Bestbuy (it wasn't for sale or listed on their website tho). So just email them asking about your particular product and see what they say. BTW, the FY200 has everything you want except a hard drive.. it's 128mb and 256mb flash memory, the latter for $189.
