Here guys, this is my first post, so i figured i would make it good. check out this website. it has every driver dating back to a LONG while ago with INFs that have been modified to work with laptops JUST LIKE OURS. i.e. with 1280x854 screens.
enjoy.. btw im using the newest driver (bottom of list) and it works flawlessly. remember to over-write the inf with the edited one as well as manually installing the drivers!

I could get the driver to load and display in the correct resoultion, but whenever I tried to open the GFeForce settings in the display properties, I got a fatal error and could not access any of the settings.
The driver suggested in another thread (http://forums.designtechnica.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2149) seems to work perfectly, although it does not support dual screen with vertical orientation (which for me is no problem at all).

i am using the newest driver listed on that page and it works perfectly. everything loads and works 100%. perhaps it is simply a problem with your individual computer?

defylogik, have you noticed any improve in video performance? i.e. games, video editing software. etc etc.
i'm currently using DELL's latest video driver which is not the latest version from the website you've listed. thanks.

I use the Japanese version of XP Pro, which I thought may have been the problem, but even the international version of the driver gave me the same results, so I gave up and went with the Dell driver.
Does the driver you've installed have the "Power Miser" settings?

Version 52.XX is the one where many improvements have been made for image quality and speed. It is also the driver Nvidia told Valve to use it with Half-life 2 benchmarking (which Nvidia said Valve didn't comply with it, resulting in lower benchmark scores) Could this apply to Geforce 4 Go too?
I installed the 52.70 and it works except when you start up the windows, the screen goes black and back to desktop again. Doesn't affect the functionality, but it does annoys me.
Anyone tried running a game with this driver?

the reason that the screen goes black and then on again is it is adjusting the contrast and color correction settings, as well as the clock speed. desktops do this also when you change any setting except stock.
it is normal, yet annoying i agree.

I found a problem with this driver: It won't come back from the standby mode, just blank screen. I have to force-turn off the notebook and turn back on again.
Oh well.....I'll go back to the Dell drivers.

I just had the blank screen problem coming out of standby happen to me yesterday for the first time. I installed the latest Dell driver last week and hadn't had any problems. What I did do was a Windows update that required rebooting, but I chose not to reboot at that time. I am hoping that not rebooting before going into standby was what caused the problem. After restarting the computer, standby seems to be working again.

I've had the black screen coming out of standby w/ the stock drivers. So no new risk in this update. Runs fine so far. Glad to finally get some new drivers for something on the vpr.
