Can someone recommend an alternative to the lousy rubber feet that came with the unit? Mine have completely fallen off on
two seperate occasions.

Thanks

Bud

Have you lost the feet? Mine are fine on my VPR, but I had this problem with another notebook. Two of those feet fell off and one got lost. I replace the lost one with a piece of hard rubber from a hardware store, and glued both back on with a strong adhesive. They newever fell off again.

Geekrock, thats funny as hell.

I've had rubber pad problems with all of my NB's from Compaq. The vpr is my 5th NB, just go buy some better glue, like a rubber cement form home depot or loews use sparringly. It's the heat that softens the factory glue. Once you do the cement it won't come off again.

You will probably have to go to the hardware store and jimmyrig your own out of rubber pieces.

Or you can always chrome those 20" wheels.:D

Sorry couldn't resist.

I needed a couple too, so I went on the vpr website, (or was it the bestbuy.com site??) anyway, they linked me to some other site called parts search or something like that, and they are on the long list of unknown parts.

Bad part is the little rubber buggers go for 8$ EACH.

Me personally, I will go to the hardware or crafts store.
