ALI has drivers for the Chipset.

nVidia has drivers for the graphics.

Most all of the components to the system have 3rd party support (which is probably better than vpr driver anyway).

Are there any BIOS updates for the system? I ask because after looking at some specs on the chipset the 220 should be able to support 2gigs of ram.

I've searched for BIOS updates from VPR, Quanta (the manufacturer), and from Phoenix. No joy. I don't need the additional RAM but I would like to be able to use an Atheros based tri-mode mini-PCI wireless card and from my experience (with the ALi EM-500AG and D-Link DWL-G520) the BIOS has severe indigestion with the Atheros chipset (no POST, dark screen... ick). As it stands I am using a Xterasys XG-600 802.11g mini-PCI.... good card but does not support 802.11a .

I've had very good luck with my VPR but from what I've seen VPR Matrix/Best Buy really suck when it comes to customer support (I wouldn't buy toilet paper from Best Buy these days).

Best of luck.
