So when you listen to music with iTunes, it basically rips the track to your computer?

It intercepts the unwrapping of the AAC layer after authentication and dumps the raw AAC data to file. So far it only makes an unplayable file. Give it a month, max. Someone just needs to make a batch wrapper for the files.
