The iriver 120 says 600 hour of music, Is this wma or mp3? If wma, how many mp3's can u store on this unit? (average 4 min a song). Does any one know if this system hold the same, less, or more then the rio karma? thanks
mp3, at 128 bps... not the best resolution.
About the same per megs.
Mp3 can be 254 bps(?) which is very nice. but wma is better, and occ is even better. But More ram is needed for the QUALITY.
MP3 can be up to 320 Kbps. ECA, do you mean ogg instead of occ? I have never heard of occ.
The iRiver iHP-120 supports MP3, WMA, ASF, WAV and OGG, USB2.0, FM Tuner, voice recorder, etc.
I wouldnt judge neccessarily the hours you can put on the device, since that can vary depending on the bitrate of the files, but instead judge them on hard drive size.
The iHP-120 is a 20 GB drive.
The Rio Karma is also 20 GB drive (it also supports OGG and usb2.0)
So, they can hold pretty much the same amount of hours of music. I would base your decision on:
1) support
2) feature set
3) price
in no particular order.
