After installing a driver for my epson printer, computer froze up and I tried to reboot. It wouldn't boot up so I finally resorted to putting in the restore disc. It wouldn't go to restore because it said it wasn't detecting any hard drives.
BIOS setup says it's not detecting the primary master and slave drives.
Anyone have any good advice on what to do here?

One: Reset BIOS to default settings. Then try booting.
Two: Open case, turn on computer, see if hard drive is powering up.
Three: Be sure the power and IDE cables are fully plugged in
Four: Swap HD power plugs.
Five: Try booting with a spare HD if you have one.
Thats all I can think of right now.

DO NOT RESET BIOS DEFAULTS!!!!!
THIS SYSTEM IS SET UP AS A RAID SYSTEM AND IF YOU DO THAT IT WILL DISABLE THE RAID.
Go into bios and follow these steps
1. Goto 'Boot'
2.choose ' Enable RAID Boot'
3.Disable 'Silenent Boot'
4. Save settings and exit bios
5.When Prompted hit ctrl F
6.delete the RAID
7 then Choose '1' and Auto Rebuild the ARRAY.
Thats it.
Raids on a VPR
Security is a Mirriored RAID
Oeformance is a Striped RAID.
If this doess not help call your tech support and they will walk you through the process.
sounds like a hardware failure.
did you plug the printer into the parallel port?
If you did, I would suggest you unplug printer, and check the pins, make sure they are all straight.
Something caused the system to reset. and a good chance it reset to default in the bios.
