Just bought one of these this weekend.

Likes:

-The arm band, great for the gym
- Comes with two sets of earbuds, one that is in necklace form the other has a longer cable
- Decent music manager program (from what I can tell so far)
- The necklace earbuds sound great
- FM tuner is strong

Dislikes:

- The other set of earbuds with the longer cord sound bad compared to the necklace earbuds, no bass whatsoever
- The equalizer is confusing and difficult to change settings
- Cannot find how to turn up the bass yet
- Battery door feels cheap
- USB 1.1 (why they decided to make a 256MB player USB 1.1 is beyond me) makes adding song long and tedious

I will post more after I play with it more. Then I will post an official review on the site.

I decided to add Prodigy's song "mind fields" song to the player to see how the FY200 handled the bass and the player basically bypassed it altogether so the integrated amp must only go down to a certain Hz level, although I am not sure what it is.

The highs are great, very crisp and clear though.

What do you mean by "server" Hz?

ive been interested in hearing more about this player since ive bought 2 players from mpio already.

i already find it hard to believe the battery door cover is flimsy as this was a cause of MAJOR annoyance to everyone who bought the dmk model. I cant belive they didnt fix that....

plz keep us posted

I have been trying to decide between the mpio fy200 and the iriver 390t. Both are 256 and roughly the same price. The only real difference is that the fy200 has a thumb drive. I was wondering what you guys think I should buy.
Is the software on the mpio hard too use as according to their message board?
Is the thumb drive a worthy component to the mpio?
What do you guys think I should buy?
thanks

Hmm... might be an alternative to the yet-to-be released IAudio4 (also USB 1.1)
