Need help with YP-55

I tried the firmware upgrade. And something weird happened. It stopped during the middle of the upgrade, and now, when I press play to turn it on, it says Please Reformat~!! I tried to delete files from the Removable Disk Drive, but it doesn't work. Is there any way to format it? Also, The instructions on upgrading weren't clear enough (for me at least):confused: . I downloaded the zip file. I extracted it to its own folder, called YP55_5700. There are files in there. I do not know what to do from there. PLease!! I need help. I love this mp3 player.

You need to extract the files to an already existing folder on your hard drive, it's the folder where the Samsung software was installed off the cd. It's called C:\Program Files\Samsung\YP-55 (at least on my PC).

You replace the files when prompted and there you go, just run the update program after starting your player in recovery mode.

To start the player in recovery mode, plug one end of the USB cable to the USB port on your PC, then press and hold the Play button on the player and before it turns on, connect the other end of the cable to the player while keeping the Play button depressed. Your PC should recognize a new "recovery device" or something, it may ask you for drivers so keep the Samsung CD handy.

I can't do anything with my mp3 player until i get it reformatted. The problem is, I don't know how.

Try this: Don't press the Play button yourself. If your player is already off just plug it to the computer, it should turn on and be ready to download and hopefully to reformat.

I have a question regarding language on the ID tag. Can YP-55 display Chinese Traditional on the display as the song title? If so, how? I tried to paste the characters to the CD Ripper software that came with the player, but it won't accept it.
