Do you know Lyric station???
I've discovered you need this program that Samsung released on November, 25 to enable
Lyrics option on Yepp
below i posted 3 links about it:
The program (supports english too)
http://www.sec.co.kr/product/mp3p/support/download/YP55_lyricstation.zip
An useful (...) guide

I've just install it.
It needs an active internet connection because it download lyrics from a central server.
Naturally it found just most famous english song.
To work you have to connect yp-55 and then start the program
Now I'm busy and I can't test it better.
Good luck!
Tomorrow I will test it again.

Hi there,
did you download Lyric station?
I used it and I have to admit it's nothing amazing. The program has found only 20% of lyrics I need.
Other 20% it found by manual searching.
It missed famous songs too.
However I think it's just youth server matter.
Sometimes lyrics downloaded has wrong rhythm, maybe it depends on bitrate.
In general I prefer the "info view" to "lyric view", but it's just my opinion.

Thanks for the link.
How did you find it? I saw the software on Yepp's Korean site, but couldn't see any links.
I've tried it briefly, I used Kylie Minogue and Madona albums. It found nothing on Kylie, and just 4 songs on Madona.
On two of Madona's songs, the lyrics are perfect and in time with the music. The other two are out of pace with the music.
If you want to give it a go, 'Like a Virgin' works perfectly.

When you surf the web the most important thing you need is..... the imagination!
When I knew the korean samsung site (www.sec.co.kr) I understood:
all samsung site are very similar each other, on the right upper side of the homepage there's a form and near it a "go button"---> it's the search form!
Every (???) internet address are composed by latin characters
I was going to find an url..... I typed "lyric station yp-55" (or something else) ....et voilą!
In this way I've found the new firmware, manuals and the lyric station.
Do you remember our ideas on HR & VR models?
Into the korean manual I just saw some drawings that confirm our suppositions about rechargeable batteries & AC charger!
curiosity:
Days ago I found these photos:
The first one is my model ( also called YP-55V/XAA)
The second one I think (but I'm not so sure) is YP-55V/XAC
The 3rd & 4th are a surprise for me.
You can notice some few different details:
about the bigger lcd
about volume and menu buttons

I have an V/XAC that I bought here in Canada. #1 is like my model exactly except for it not saying "Digital Audio Player" under the LCD. As for #2, I have no idea what that is - I was always wondering myself about the black display but could never find it anymore to actually buy.
I too tried to get the Lyric station, but it seemed like you had to register at the Korean site in order to download so I gave up after a few hours.

Request to Benton: Go to the Korean site and find the link yourself - Not simply click the link he posted, but actually find the link from scratch yourself. I don't know how you meant your post as a joke or you are really that naive or what.
To aldicora: Thanks alot for finding the link and posting it, works great for me, though I admit I only found 8 songs that I have out of the 250 or so I have in my personal collection (that have lyrics). Can only see the database of songs will get bigger with time so it should be good.

Nah, I'm just too lazy. Why go to Korea (and naively spend hours there  ) when the link is right here already. :D

Of course, I'd not go to the Korean website myself if it wasn't that I was looking for this over a week before it was posted here. Now I think I'll go back to ignoring you benton, have a good life.

Connect your player (with songs already on it) to the PC. Open the Lyric Station program.
The songs that are already on your player will appear in the lyric station window. Now click on [LDB] icon, the program will then look for matching lyrics via the internet.
As it scans through each song in the window, you will see the program mark either 'failed' or 'done' next to each song. After it has finished scanning, you can disconect the player and try it out.
The player will now display lyrics for those songs that it found lyrics for (providing you set the player to display lyrics).
In my experience, only a couple of the songs worked correctly, as mentioned earlier in this thread.

Does the LyricStation program physically have to be located in the player itself? Or does it have to be on your hard drive? I tried both ways, but when I clicked on "LDB" nothing happened. There is a 0% bar at the bottom of the LyricStation window and it doesn't move and nothing shows up in the window itself.
BUT, when I click on the refresh button beside it, it scans through my list of mp3s and before I can even see the list, it clears it and I'm back to the empty window.
Is this what it's supposed to do?? Am I doing something wrong still?

BTW, is there a way that we can write the lyrics by ourselves and then have the YP-55 read them from a text file or something? How does the YP-55 display the lyrics? Are the lyrics stored on a file on the player? If so, what type of file is it? And is it possible to edit it?

P.S. I tried "Like A Virgin" by Madonna and it didn't do anything...

I don't understand why you're having such problems.
Lyrics Station should only be on your hard drive.
You need to be connected to the internet whilst using Lyrics Station. I have a 'broadband' connection, rather than 'dial up', and it scans through the songs very quickly.
I don't know how you could add lyrics manualy. If you open the contents of the player with windows, after using Lyric Station, the files still look the same as before.

Hi, thanks...I have a broadband connection too, so I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe it's not compatible with YP-55i?
