So does it support OGG or not? My experience in reviewing their products is that iRiver is very quick to say they will have firmware updates in the future that will support OGG, but they never seem to release any. Let me know if this player does or not.

It does. (an owner confirmed it).
Whether or not it does "out of the box" is unknown, but the firmware avail for download does support it.
