Creative Zen Xtra out of production?

I work at Best Buy and they just lowed the price by at least 50 bucks, so I was thinking of picking on the 40GB Zen Xtra's up, And I was talkin to the computer rep and he says that we are not getting any more Zen Xtra's in at all ever. He said there might be sumthin new coming out, but he is not sure, but we aren't getiing any more Zen Xtras. Any more info on this, Is Creative coming out with somthing better than the Zen...and im not talkin about the 4gb one, like sumthin wtih at least 20gb, up to 60gb

yeah but i thought the NX was supposed to be not as good as the Xtra, i dunno the Xtra sounded way better than the NX, i dunno why they arn't carying it any more

But it's the _Xtra_ NX. Creative launched a whole NX line just recently.

mmm i sort of c.....i just thought the features looked better on the origional Xtra, the NX doesn't look nearly as good.....no blue back light.....all also don't see where it says Zen Xtra NX

Oopsy. My bad, it isn't the Xtra NX, just NX.

I think there was an announcement regarding 60 and 80 GB super slim drives a couple months ago. Maybe they're shrinking the Zen.... There are some external 2.5" drives with 250GB. Now that would be nice.

I would avoid getting anything right now, since they haven't officially discontinued it. Once it is, you should be able to find it cheaper, or get whatever replaces it.
