Here is a list of known bugs with the 6.6 Firmware Update that are currently known. Please feel free to add more bugs in this thread.
1) 1 or 2 second delay while playing a track
2) Items with more than 64 chars can only be recognised by the DMM software and not by the player
3) HDD100 boot up time increased from only 2 secoonds to 10 seconds +
4) When playing a random track moving to the audio-graph from the 'Song Playing' menu causes volume to decrease to 50%. Moving back to the 'Song Playing' Screen corrects this.
Feature request:
If Philips read this, I request scrolling text names for the current highlighted song, as I often have the same part of the name at the start, so I cant actually see the rest of the name of the song. A simple scroll left would fix this.
That is to say: albums with long names that are almost identical, like
J.S Bach brandenburg concerto's and orchestral suites volume 1
J.S Bach brandenburg concerto's and orchestral suites volume 2
Hope this examples makes it clear

The fact that the player doesn''t remember what it was playing when you stop it is crazy!!!
Really annoying, especially when you're listening to a 2 hour mix for example.

Erm, this is a USER posted bug list, which I and others have compiled and found.
I would appreciate it if you could send this list of bugs to your friend from Philips, and also send him our request features.

The Unit is out now - beta testing is over. These are bugs with the current firmware of the HDD100.
A bug that should have been Questioned Before release?
And an update that should have improved the problem?
Like the idea of the scroll. Sence you can have a 64 charactor Name, but cant READ the whole name(8-16 charactors only) sucks, ubless you wish to rename all your songs.

noticed that with the latest firmware,
it seems like the player drains his battery faster when not playing/turned off...???
has anyone experiencing this? or my battery is going bad.. :(

Can't say I've noticed that myself - but it might be doing it.

2 things I would think would be useful...
1-I wish there were a setting to reverse or invert the screen display to black on white...but I'm sure Phillips would not do that.
2-When the screen backlite is off while in play mode, sometimes I just want to see the display... nothing else. But the first press of any front panel button control turns on the backlite and also processes the pressed button's function. I wish it would on first press activate just the backlite then with the next press the button function. Some may not like this so a display setup called "backlight wakeup" --1 press, 2 press. This 2 press should be ignored when controling from wired remote and pressing side controls.
just a though.

I realize this is a "bug" list but I'd thought I'd pass a few feature requests that I'm hoping can be addressed in future updates (btw, I just bought the HDD120):
1. SuperScroll feature (and any scrolling) should be able to go past the last/first letter (I.e. to go from "A" to "X" I should be able to press Up - A to Z to X - instead of having to press Down through the alphabet until I hit "X").
2. DMM software needs to allow for the window to expand so every field can be seen in it's entirety.
3. When navigating through folders it would be nice if the last folder was 'remembered' (similar to the back/forward button in a web browser). This may have already been mentioned.
Thanks - Go
Only failure I REALLY see...
Is the lack of buttons.
They want to make it as simple as possible, and its LOST, because you have to fumble with lists of options.
