Just found out tonight that Microsoft's Windows Media Center Edition does not work with UHF remotes, specifically Dish Network UHF remotes. There is a work around for this however, you will need to get a UHF to IR convertor or special remotes.

Special remote: http://www.homecable.com/Products/20.html

IR/UHF convertor: http://mall.shopping-4-life.com/Electronics/Electronic-Accessories/Antennas/PID-ZKztZAQRid7/Terk---LFUNIV-Remote-Extender--Convert-your-IR-remote-to-RF--Model-LFUNIV/

Right now, I am going to move my DishNetwork PVR downstairs and move a regular IR based reciever upstairs to work with my Media Center PC.

Hopefully this will help some people out there.

Update: I had a friend of mine come over and he entered some sort of code into the remote control and it switched it from UHF over to infrared. Apparently their PVR remote supports both, but comes with the UHF mode turned on. I didn't get a chance to write down the code, so call DISH network to get it.
