So I recently sent in my 22A05 for warranty service. I thought they did a great job. They even fixed a problem that I had but didn't mention it in the form. I was just excited about getting my laptop back and didn't notice new programs installed until a day later. Apparently, the tech guys installed winISO and magicISO so they could convert some cue files(MS mappoint) iso files so they could burn to CD. Not only did they burn those files, they created a folder with files from different directories so they could burn more files. They also took the time to read through my .doc files. I only noticed this because under 'date accessed' the files were viewed during the time the laptop was sent in for warranty. I was furious when i noticed this. Of course i gave best buy a call and complained about what happened. Still waiting for a call back for an explanation to why files were being burnt to CD and files being viewed when the laptop was sent for for hardware repair.

I also find it pathetic that these techs that work in the computer industry aren't even smart enough to cover their track. It doesn't take too much brains to know that you need to delete what you created and uninstall what you installed.

Do you guys think I should also take any other actions for what has happened? if so, what else could i do?

Did you have the cue/ISO files on your system? If so why would you have copied software in ISO form on your computer?

I would be very upset if they were copying my software and especially if they were writing down my product key. If you are 100% sure, I would even think about taking legal action. Think of the consequences if Microsoft thinks YOU are using copied software.
