Hi everyone.
I have two VPR Matrix 200a5 laptops. Both machines are using WinXP pro and have nearly identical software configs. When I burn data/video to a DVD-R disc on a third computer (a VPR 253r desktop), one of the laptops will recognize it and play it back w/o issue. It will play in Media player, WinDVD, and be recognized in "My Computer."
The other laptop will not read the same DVD-R. No matter what is on it (movie or data), it won't play or read the dvd. This is with windows reporting the same drivers for each, and the same software versions being used on each laptop. I've taken the keyboards out of both laptops and have verified that the drive models and firmware are the same. Now to add more data to the story....the laptop that will not play dvd-r discs, will play store purchased DVD movies.
Any ideas for me? This is very frustrating!
Thanks in advance for any help.
Rob
