My Sony Vaio GRZ610 fan is sooo loud!!

Hi all,

AMAZING forum!

I have a Sony Vaio PCG-GRZ610 laptop, and was just
wondering if anyone else has experience with this laptop? In
the beginning the laptop was nice and quite, but now the fan is
so loud I can't even use it in school!!!!

I have no idea of why it started to make so much noize? Is there
a way to clean it or maybe even replace it???

Any suggestions are very welcome :) Thanks!

How tech are you???
How new is the unit?
If you have a warrenty, USE it and take it in to be cleaned.

Do not open unless you know proper anti-static procedures.

Generally, there may be a bit of fuzz inside. Fans are very well know for this. They SUCK it in threw the ports and CD, and Floppy. It builds up and can cause a vibration, and bad cooling.
IF you can let the tech show you HOW(if he's any good). Make sure they clean the CD and all intake points.
