This desktop is only about 2 years old and already I'm replacing my 2nd hard drive. Is there any issues with the motherboards that may be impacting this disk to crash?

What brand hard drive is it?

Not sure. The original was Ultra ATA/100 60GB. Machine went back to SONY for new one. That's died and now I have the extended warranty guy coming tomorrow to install the second one.
