I have a GeForce FX 5200 Ultra with 128 mb of ram. All of a sudden, the boot-up and windows tells me that it only has 64 mb of ram. It should be noted that I don't know how long it has been doing this.

I have the newest drivers and everything. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Sounds like the card is bad. No software will fix that, call your card manufacturer and try to get it replaced under warranty.

What OS is this? I've seen games that were made before 128mb cards came out that only shows your vid card with 64mb. Are you running 98 or ME? Maybe it's just a function of the OS.

I wouldn't say its a hardware problem just because its not registering. Do you have another system you can try it in? Maybe update the BIOS too.

WELL,,,
It could be his mobo, not really the OS.
If he is running a mobo 1x agp, insted of at least 2x... It will only see the 64 meg.

I am running WinXP, and it isn't the game that is showing 64mb, it is in the boot-up and in windows/diplay/settings/advanced.
My mobo supports agp 8x.

IF ITS on boot, then the RAM is fried.
No way ro recover, unless you can track the problem, could be the pipelines burnt, or the RAM burnt.

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. I guess it's video card shopping time!
