Spyware Stop!!!! What Is This Stop Sign?

Admittingly I am not a computer expert. But I thought I knew enough!?! I guess not though. B/c I get this stupid, annoying
STOP!!!!:sponge ----- This adware/spyware comes up on my screen every hour. Since I am on cable internet, when I get home from work, I have about 9-10 of these on my screen. I don't know how to stop this! Please advise as to I am stumped!

Both have free versions that should be able to delete the spyware on your system.

Adaware works great .. be aware that the problem might be a program like Isearch that is very hard to get rid of. The final solution is not always an easy one.

ALSO, NEVER open email you DIDNT ask for, or dont know the sender.
Set your email to read TXT format only...NOT HTML.
HTML can auto load crap on your system.

Spybot may kill a few background progs you loaded also...REMEMBER THAT.
That neet weather prog, and alexa WONT RUN NO MORE.

Keeping windows CLEAN and free of "STUFF" is a hard trick.
Eraseing all the progs you dont use, keeping the drives clean and de-fragged, having enought room...Its so much fun.

ive had problems with that to, so i closed all programs that might be causing it, and looked for popup blockers. Yahoo instant messenger comes with a toolbar that has a pretty effective popup blocker

And I hate tool bars.
Everyone wants to give you one. But they change things also.
Yahoo will change your SEARCH, to yahoo.
